Right......The water wheel incident!

Obviously i was mooching around, spotted the big pipe (at the time it was just a trickle of water).

Kept on noseying around, ahhhhhhh whats this he says. A big wheel.......i know lets turn it!

So i start cranking, a big threaded bar is now rising out of the wheel. God knows what i was thinking was going to happen!

The wheel has reached its extent......wait why is the waterfall not as powerful?.....erm... whats that sound????

So i run back into the compound to find that the small trickle is now niagra falls!!!! OH MUMMY!!!!! :ohmy

Went outside to find out where the water was going.......couldnt find out!
Im now picturing someones front room is now a swimming pool :D

So to cut my tale short. i run back inside and hastily turn the wheel back.

So the motto of the story is.......... never put jam in a toaster! :thumb

I think you are referring to operating a sluice gate rather than a water wheel - sounds like the kind of thing Bungle would do (for those who know him off 28DL, DP, and the Northwest Forum)!!!

I swing by here the other week, can't figure out if they've demolished anything more since then

BB, if you ever wanna go back with the ladders let me know. I used to drive past this place when i was visiting one of my sites. Actually went there today on the way back from work cos I couldn't remember the name of the place and wasn't sure if anyone had posted anything on here about it.
