Thought id stop by and have a look around. 4 of the hangers still remain, only one of the out buildings still stand. the hangers are currently being used as storage for buses and other bits and bobs.

opened in 1943
closed in 1957

There was a HMS Ringtail II, now known as RAF Woodvale.

Not a great lot remians, parts of the runway are still visible.

I wish there was more left of this place and all the other airfields in the Northwest.

There's a locked ROC post by the road not too far from those hangars.

This one? :D
Not going to do a report about it, couldnt get in, its got a cable lock across the hatch.
